Music and Sport

Music

Music forms an important part of the curriculum in the Junior School and children take an active part in the various school concerts and productions. There are always plenty of opportunities for both soloists and enthusiastic choristers within the Junior Choir. All pupils participate in our Christmas productions and Summer concerts, most recently The Pied Piper, Alice in Wonderland and Hoodwinked (the story of Robin Hood).

Children may receive private lessons in a wide range of musical instruments (Piano, guitar, keyboard, brass, woodwind), singing, speech training, drama and ballet.

Games and Physical Education

The College has its own gymnasium which is used for PE, Gymnastics, Drama and Dance. Due to its situation, the school is not surrounded by its own playing fields and so our numerous activities (rugby, football, netball, hockey, rounders, tennis, athletics, swimming) take place at specialist sporting venues within the locality. For these activities pupils travel by school minibus to take advantage of the excellent local sporting facilities.
