St. Annes College Grammar School

In recent years, the School’s results at both GCSE and Advanced level have been especially pleasing.

In recent years, Grammar School pupils have consistently achieved well above the national average in the league tables, despite some of our overseas students taking English in examinations other than GCSE.

The Advanced level results have been equally excellent, with all pupils being offered places at University, since the sixth form opened in 1997.

Some of our sixth form students have achieved 100% in their Science, Mathematics and Geography Advanced level modules and have been quietly sought by various universities.

However, since the Advanced Level league tables only include those schools entering large numbers of students, our excellent results do not appear.

“Staff use their detailed knowledge of each pupil to support an guide them towards achieving their aspirations.” (Ofsted 2018)

“Pupils learn well. Some make very rapid gains in comparison to those in their previous schools, as a result of growth in their confidence.” (2016)
