Preparing for the Future
Our Sixth Form is designed to prepare young people not only for qualifications, but for adulthood, independence and meaningful future pathways.
Students leave SACGS with recognised qualifications, increased confidence, practical life skills and personalised progression routes into higher education, employment, apprenticeships or supported adulthood.
Supporting every student towards their next steps
Careers education and preparation for future pathways are embedded throughout Sixth Form life at SACGS.
Students receive personalised Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) tailored to their strengths, aspirations, interests and individual needs.
Support may include:
- Individual careers guidance and mentoring
- University, college and apprenticeship support
- CV writing and interview preparation
- Employability and workplace skills
- Work experience and volunteering opportunities
- Career exploration and progression planning
- Support with transition into employment or adulthood services where appropriate
We work closely with students and families to ensure that every young person leaves Sixth Form with clear direction, increased confidence and realistic, meaningful next steps for their future.
